Hi, my name is...
Anne Costelloe

Anne Costelloe, Thrive Programme Coach in Pinner
Meet Anne...

Where are you based? My main practice is in Pinner, where I designed a purpose built clinic attached to my home. I also have a 2nd clinic in Penn, near Beaconsfield.

What do you love about The Thrive Programme? I love how inspiring the programme is and how it can help anyone regardless of age or background. Experiencing people change from feeling helpless to having a sense of empowerment is extremely rewarding especially when they have a realisation that it’s much easier than they first envisaged. I love that The Thrive Programme has the wow factor and is definitely life changing!

What did you do before you became a Coach? In the past I worked within the NHS for a service which helped severely disabled patients and whilst there studied for a diploma in NHS Management on How to Influence Change and Project Management. During that time, I had various phobia's such as a fear of flying, heights, was unhappy with my marriage and felt depressed. I needed help as I felt unable to cope, I then found The Thrive Programme. This was the beginning of a life-long change to put it mildly. It was the best decision I had ever made and I have to say my perspective totally changed. Initially I trained to become a therapist and set up a busy successful clinic and a few years later furthered my training to be a Thrive Programme Coach® because I had learnt that no one needs to stay unhappy, and the changes I had made were testament to that. I am a totally different person and look forward to life instead of feeling overwhelmed. It was such a dramatic change.

What do you do when you're not working? I am learning photography with a professional tutor and have travelled to some amazing countries and met with interesting people from all walks of life who share the same passion. Since becoming a TC, I've travelled extensively, been abroad travelling alone, been to Hong Kong visiting family, scuba-dived in the Mediterranean Sea, sailed in a yacht off the coast of Turkey for a week, photographed in snow storms in Iceland, regularly walk 20k hikes, do yoga, which is much harder than people realise, and do dance classes to get my heart pumping, my life is busy and exciting. My next adventure is to go on a safari in Kenya to photograph wild animals.

An interesting fact? I was a National Champion Irish Dancer along with my twin sister as a teenager. I have loads of trophies for winning Irish Dancing competitions around the whole of the UK. I was also a choreographer for the group sequences and a member of the team for which we won numerous competitions nationally too.

Anything else? My next move is to train in Thrive in Business and Bounce, Thrive in Schools. I'm doing presentations to large audiences for the 1st time in my life, which is a great skill to have to work in Thrive in Business. Never stop learning is my motto.
