Where are you based? South Devon, England.
What do you love about The Thrive Programme? I was once told that our personalities are formed around the age of seven and from then on, very little changes as we go through life. This idea really stuck with me. Most of us work hard to be the best version of ourselves: we train to stay physically fit, we study to expand our knowledge and professional skills - so why wouldn’t we also train to strengthen our emotional and mental wellbeing? It’s like using an old computer and never giving it a software update!
I hated the thought of my own mental health being the thing that held me back from living my best possible life - and that is the reason I love The Thrive Programme. It teaches you the skills to give your mental health a “software update” which will serve you for the rest of your life.
What did you do before you became a Coach? I worked as a Recruitment Coach in the FinTech industry, partnering with hedge funds to help them hire talented developers for their technology teams. It was a tough gig - 100% effort, 100% of the time. Fortunately, I had gone through Thrive before entering the industry and had the skills to cope with the high stress environment.
After 4 years I wanted a career change. I reflected upon what motivated me in my recruitment role and realised it was knowing that I had played a small part in getting my candidate their dream job. For my next role I wanted to continue helping people, but more holistically across all areas of their life, not just professionally - and became a Thrive Programme Coach®!
What do you do when you're not working? Fitness is a big part of my life - I strength train four times a week and when the sun is shining you’ll find me outside walking my dog, running along the cliff paths, or playing (very average) tennis. I balance this active lifestyle with my other passion, food! I love cooking, hosting friends, and working my way through my ever-growing cookbook collection.
Travel is another huge joy of mine - I’ll take any excuse to hop on a plane! Finally and most importantly, I prioritise spending time with my friends and family above all else - I never take for granted how fortunate I am to know such kind, interesting, wonderful people.
An interesting fact? The story of how I became Bolle...
I was born with the name Olivia, but when I was taken home from hospital, a family friend asked my mum if I was called “Bolivia.” Everyone found this very amusing, and I soon became known as “Bollé” - spelled this way after the ski goggle brand, as my family are keen skiers.
When I started school, we had to ask all the teachers to call me Bollé, as I simply didn’t respond to Olivia. Eventually, we legally changed my name via Deed Poll, at which point I dropped the accent to make spelling easier!
What languages do you speak? English.
Do you see clients online or face-to-face? Both.
What are your working hours? My main hours will be Monday to Thursday mornings. However, I’m very flexible — just drop me a message and we can arrange afternoon, evening, or weekend sessions if needed.
