Meet Emma...

Where are you based? I am based in the picturesque village of Saint Germans in southeast Cornwall, where I offer face-to-face appointments in my warm and welcoming garden studio. If you live further away, no worries. I also provide sessions via Zoom, making it convenient and easy for you no matter where you're located. The beauty of this is that wherever you are in the world, we can work together and get you Thriving!

What do you love about The Thrive Programme? Discovering The Thrive Programme was life-changing; I love everything about it, and it works! From the start, just after reading a few pages of the manual, I knew this differed from any therapies and interventions I had previously experienced. For the first time, I felt I had found something relatable that made total sense. The sessions/chapters are interesting, and the research is fascinating. You just get it, and it’s easy to understand. When you start implementing the actions, you feel incredibly empowered. This programme is genius!

What did you do before you became a Coach? Over the last 28 years, I have worked in health and education. I began my career working in nursery and school settings. During the past 18 years, I have been working for the NHS within School Nursing and Health Visiting services, delivering the Healthy Child Programme. I have supported parents with the transition into parenthood and beyond. I have always been passionate about supporting people with their mental health difficulties.

What do you do when you're not working? I love spending time with my family and friends. I have a supportive husband and two wonderful boys who keep me busy. I enjoy being involved in our local community and participating in local events. I volunteer on the committee for our local sailing club, where I’m responsible for organising and fundraising for the Youth Training Scheme. As the Youth Training Coordinator, I often find myself baking in the kitchen to raise funds for this initiative. Since achieving my powerboat level two, I like nothing more than being on the picturesque Lynher estuary. I love to dance and I also love playing my piano. The piano is an ongoing challenge, but I’m not giving up!

An interesting fact? I won Emetophobia Thriver of the Year 2023.

What languages do you speak? English.

Do you see clients online or face-to-face? Both.

What time zone are you in? I'm in the UK so it's GMT.

What are your working hours? I offer a flexible work schedule that includes availability for evening and weekend appointments.

This is my husband, our boys, and me. It’s an older picture; now that the boys are teenagers, it’s not as cool for them to be seen with their parents, especially when it involves taking pictures! We love spending time at the beach.

One of the challenges I set for myself, as I embrace life free from Emetophobia, is to enjoy spending time out on the boats with my boys.

I have now completed my RYA Powerboat Level 2 license! I can’t help but smile, knowing that my boys now have some competition on the water!

I cherish every moment with my friends! This photo reflects the excitement of my first concert following my completion of this incredible programme. What an epic night! This is something I never would have done before.

I love baking! Here’s a picture of me at my cake stall, where I’m happily raising money for the Youth Training Fund at our local Quay Sailing Club.
