What do you love about The Thrive Programme? I have seen at first hand the devastating effects of mental distress due to anxiety, depression, bereavement, stress and physical ill health. The Thrive Programme really does change your mind set from ‘I can’t’ to ‘I can’.

It’s unique and challenges all your existing beliefs about yourself. It’s life changing and takes you on a journey of self discovery at the end of which you will be in an infinitely better place than when you started.

What did you do before you became a Coach? Before I became a TC I worked for as an art teacher in a rehabilitation centre here in Gloucestershire. I worked with individuals aged 18 - 75 and loved every minute.

After 10 years I decided I wanted to re train in psychology to work and help people who, for whatever reason, are struggling and not thriving in their lives.

What do you do when you're not working? When I am not working as a TC I have a passion for working with clay! I have my own studio and make contemporary porcelain table ware and I also run classes for beginners. It is a fantastically creative and healing medium.

I am married to a doctor, have three adult children (most of whom have left home), an elderly disabled father living next door, a crazy cat, needy dog, a very old horse and some ducks.

An interesting fact? Knowing there is always humour to be found especially when everything goes pear shaped - I am an expert at putting the wrong petrol in the tank - I think I’ve done it four times - the last time I had to be towed off a French autoroute and had to communicate with the mechanic in Franglais. Thankfully laughter prevailed.

Anything else? I am especially interested in helping children, teenagers and young adults.
